Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Toni "Taka" Rojas found her passion for art and design in High School where she embraced every art medium and highly recognized for her passion.

Intrigued by global culture and her family roots from Australia to New Zealand, Hawai`i, Asia and the Mediterranean, Taka traveled  across the Pacific through Tahiti to the islands of Hawai`i.  Feeling an instant sole connection, she immediately immersed herself in the island lifestyle and embraced the host Hawaiian culture; along with the multitude of colorful ethnicities that makes Hawai`i truly the melting pot of the Pacific.  There she found her island home, Maui.  

From the Mountains to the Sea, she was drawn to the island's abundant sunshine and beauty. The exotic tropical flora and fauna and their sweet scents intrigued her. The crystal blue ocean and sandy beaches healed her.  And the spirit of aloha provided an innate inner peace and tranquility.  She found her inspiration.

Through Pineapple Pearl, Taka is delighted to bring you fresh, hand-crafted collections of exceptionally designed adornments and treasures that evoke the island lifestyle. All of her designs are created with island aloha, to be collected, adorned and gifted.  And pearls, gemstones and design supplies are primarily Pacific sourced and sustainably focused in support of island communities and our future generations.
